Fan Friday: Jason Hensley’s Muscle Car Icon

At Classic Auto Store Online, we love hearing about the incredible rides our community members cherish, and this week’s Fan Friday feature is no exception. Jason Hensley’s 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS is a prime example of American muscle at its finest.

Jason’s Chevelle SS packs a punch with a numbers-matching LS5 454 engine, paired with a numbers-matching 4-speed Muncie transmission and original rear end. Not only does this beast deliver serious horsepower and classic performance, but it’s also steeped in authenticity—a true nod to the golden age of muscle cars.

But Jason didn’t just stumble upon this classic in its current glory. He took on the ambitious project of restoring it himself about 10 years ago. The result? A stunning example of Chevrolet’s finest, restored to its original factory color, which still turns heads everywhere it goes.

The 1970 Chevelle SS is iconic for a reason, and Jason’s dedication to keeping everything original, from the engine to the transmission, speaks volumes about his commitment to preserving automotive history. Restoring a car to its original state, especially one as coveted as the Chevelle SS, is no easy feat. But for Jason, it was a labor of love, and the result is a car that feels as powerful and timeless as it did when it first hit the road.

So, hats off to Jason Hensley for keeping the legacy of the Chevelle SS alive! His dedication, hard work, and passion for classic cars truly embody the spirit of our community. We’re proud to feature this incredible machine on Fan Friday.
