What This Is

A custom-sewn leather shift boot for 1997-2004 Corvette C5 cars with a manual transmission. It's the leather only: you move it onto your factory plastic ring and top trim piece. It is not a complete shift boot assembly.

What's Included
  • Included: 1 leather shift boot, cut and sewn to order in the material and colors you choose.
  • Not included: shift knob, trim, frames or hardware. You reuse your factory parts.
Before You Order
  • Fits 1997-2004 Corvette with a manual transmission, including Z06. Automatic? Use our 1997-2004 automatic shift boot.
  • Factory ring broken? Our C5 wire-frame shift boot bracket replaces it.
  • Swapped in a C6 shifter? Use our C5 shift boot for the C6 shifter.
  • It's made to order, so it can take up to 8 weeks to arrive and can't be returned or exchanged. Please double-check your year, fitment, and colors before ordering.
  • International shipping: every piece ships from Poland, so a $15 international shipping charge applies to each item at checkout.

Step 4. The boot's base is an elastic oval ring. Pull the boot toward the shifter to pop part of the ring out, then work around until the whole ring is free.

Step 6. Remove the staples holding the old boot to the ring, pull it off, and clean off any residue.

Step 7. Tuck the new boot's leather flap into each cutout behind the ring's teeth, lining the seams up with the center clip on each side. Glue the leather to the ring and let it dry.

Step 8. Move the top trim piece from the old boot to the new one (or use a zip tie: turn the boot inside out, slide it onto the shifter top end first, and zip-tie it).

Step 9. Push the ring back in, then reinstall the knob, pin and shift pattern insert.

Leather care: apply a leather conditioner with UV protection every 4-6 weeks to keep it from drying out and cracking.
