What This Is
A custom-sewn leather shift boot for your 1970-25 B&M Megashifter. It's the leather only: it installs on your factory frame or trim ring. It is not a complete shift boot assembly.

- Included: 1 leather shift boot, cut and sewn to order in the material and colors you choose.
- Not included: shift knob, trim, frames or hardware. You reuse your factory parts.

Installation
Difficulty: Moderate | Tools: screwdrivers, basic hand tools, glue or a stapler depending on your frame
You'll remove the shift knob and trim, move the new boot onto your factory frame, and reinstall.

Step 1. Remove the four screws attaching the rubber boot. Remove the rubber factory boot. Unscrew the shifter handle.
Step 2. Flip the new boot inside out and slide it on the shifter thin end (collar) first. Align it correctly and attach the boot's collar to the respective groove on the shifter use a zip-tie.
Step 3. Pull the bottom of the leather boot back down, at the same time flipping it back to the right side.
Step 4. Align new boot correctly in the opening. The skirt on the new boot will go under the metal bracket. You can, but don't have to, use double-sided tape or glue to attach the bottom of the new boot.
Step 5. Reattach the bracket with screws, effectively sandwiching the leather boot underneath it.
Leather care: apply a leather conditioner with UV protection every 4-6 weeks to keep it from drying out and cracking.
