What This Is

A custom-sewn leather shift boot for 1956-1962 Corvette C1 cars with a manual transmission. It's the leather only: it mounts to your factory shift plate. It is not a complete shift boot assembly.

What's Included
  • Included: 1 leather shift boot, cut and sewn to order in the material and colors you choose.
  • Not included: shift knob, trim, frames or hardware. You reuse your factory parts.
Before You Order
  • Fits 1956-1962 Corvette with a floor-shift manual transmission.
  • Some photos show a Hurst shifter; the boot fits the factory shifter too.
  • It's made to order, so it can take up to 8 weeks to arrive and can't be returned or exchanged. Please double-check your year, fitment, and colors before ordering.
  • International shipping: every piece ships from Poland, so a $15 international shipping charge applies to each item at checkout.

Step 7. Seat the boot in the plate, lining the corners up with the stitching. Double-sided tape on the back of the plate holds it in position.

Step 8. Optional: lay insulation over the floor opening (cut to clear shifter travel) to keep transmission heat out of the boot area.

shift boot step 9

Step 9. Slide the boot and plate over the shifter and push the collar about 5 inches below the ball. Check for slack in every gear, then screw the plate down.

Leather care: apply a leather conditioner with UV protection every 4-6 weeks to keep it from drying out and cracking.
